Although I prefer the look of the tube frame Buells, the XB series was pretty damned great.

Nice find! Congrats! My new toy is a Tenere 700. A bit pricier (and a bit newer) but also a bit of a steal if I'm honest! One day I'll get some riding in up there... Few more years before the kids hit college!

Just read the thread, and have to say love the Bandits. And post up mine:

          1998bandit002.jpg

1998 1200S, Yosh carbon fiber muffler, about 5,000 miles. Scary fast(to me). Other than the muffler, straight from the factory. Even the header is factory. Unmodified air box.
          1981 GS750L (sold)
          1981 GS750L (current)
          1978 Yamaha RD400 (RD = Race Development)
1981 Honda CT70 (86+ MPG at WOT most of the time)
1983 GS1100GL (needs work: update, gone to a new home)
          1956 Simplex (with a TS250 motor)
          1985 GS1150E (Hammer Time!!)
          1998 1200 Bandit (Rattler)
          1980 GS1100L (Janice)
          Do I continue?

Interested to know if maybe you've ridden newer Bandits and can give first hand opinion of which is more fun to ride? My "05" and "99" are totally different bikes.
