    Still trying to find some more room in my Suzuki shed/shop.
    Knocked down some old shelves, installed some new ones and rearranged some of the crap.

    I still need to do plenty of more work to find the floor again.

      New rubbers for calipers came in the mail today, so that's going to happen. I noticed my brake lines were old enough to start cracking, so I suppose I'll order up the stuff to make some SS lines while I have the calipers and masters off.

          Today was basically spent on finishing up the first skunk I did and am planning on keeping. Got a good replacement header for the number 3 pipe, so I cut the old header off the good muffler and took the good header and welded the good muffler to it..Made i good pipe out of the two. Installed everything and got her fired up. Had a problem with number 3 bowl leaking gas out the overflow so I fetched he factory service manual and took off the carbs. Everything was at 24 MM for float hgts which is mid range. Upper range is 25 MM so thats where I set it and reinstalled them. started the bike and nothing leaked so I then got the guages and did the carbs sync and checked the timing. Was a long day but i got a lot done.

          I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

            Got paint on the breather catch tank and filed the perspex end caps down so they should slot right in place with some glue.

              Rode all winter so I decided it was time for spring cleaning. Changed the oil (Rotella) and oil filter (HiFlo) + gasket, cleaned the chain with kerosene, and then lubed the chain. While I was at it I removed the front sprocket cover and chain guard and cleaned all the gunk out. Of course I polished everything with "Mothers" as I re-assembled. Came out great.

                Finished up the breather catch tank ready to mount, but I'm not 100% sure I've used the right glue... the tap popped off when I turned it on and off

                Glued it back on and added a couple of cable ties for extra strength, see how that goes, otherwise will have to find some stronger glue...

                  Did a valve clearance check on the K1100RS last night...got one slightly tight one. Waiting on the K-bikes experts to let me know if I need to adjust it.

                    I had the pure joy of setting valves on an old 81 XJ650 Midnight... Then getting it ready for sale. After going over a few thing with the new owners I noticed the factory chain lock was still in the box and locked to the bike. I knew I should have bought that bike. The chain is problably worth more then the bike was.

                      Waiting for my Dyna S ignition to come in so I can finish up the GS550L. I did tear into the clutch release system trying to find why I had a sticky clutch release. Bad enough where you could let go of the clutch lever and it would stick then pop right out causing the bike to lurch. I found the worm gear that pushes on the clutch rod was a bit grimed up and low on grease, cleaned it out and re-packed it with grease and lubed the clutch cable. Clutch now operates smooth as butter. I also replaced most of the light bulbs after the Stator and R&R disaster. Oh filled the motor up with fresh 10W-40 Rotella synthetic and changed the oil filter. Running out of stuff to do while I wait on this Dyna S!

                        Decided there was something not quite right with the paint on the breather catch tank, still a bit sticky to the touch well after the required 24 hours and some spots that were looking a little bubbly, so gave it a quick sand with 400 grit and a couple of more light coats.

                        It already looks better than before after the 10 minute touch dry time, and I think I may have layed the first coat on too thick in hindsight...

                          The 450 got a bit bath yesterday and last night I was able to give the paint job its first ever coat of wax. Can't wait to see it in the daylight now as it looked pretty shiny in the dark garage lighting!

                          I also got the breather catch tank all mounted up so hopefully no more blow by mess on the battery cover.

                            My friend came over and we swapped the front brake line for a SS one from Z1. After cleaning everything and bleeding the brakes.... Damn! Total improvement, no more squishy lever and I can 2 finger brake now. I'll be doing the rears when my new (to me) rear rotor comes in so I can replace my jacked up stock one.

                              after 2 weeks of total idleness I tidied up the garage, decided to leave the engine in the bike for now and do the forks, put the 750ESD calipers and disks on...then go for a covert run on the bike to make sure all is OK with the engine (before it is removed for paint).....the calipers were bought with the bleeds stuck in place...so were cheap...spent this evening succesfully removing said bleeds and also made up a tool for the fork breakdown....tomorrow the calipers come to bits and get blasted and checked....but now it is time for bed

                                Reassembled my rear caliper, disassembled a front and threw some paint on it, and also ordered some SS lines and fittings to replace my now-too-long front brake lines since I changed the buckhorns to superbikes. I also wrenched a few 12 oz cans to my lips in the process.
