    Speedo's a bit gnarly looking. There must have been a reason for that. I'd certainly not be in favour of zero-ing it, and while it retains an element of patina, it just looks totally out of place. It could have cleaned up a lot.

      Yeah, my thoughts too. The speedo could have been restored without rolling it back, at least replace the cracked glass. I mean if they spent all that money to restore the bike, why scrimp on the speedo? Otherwise very nice /2.

        Well at least they used a GS front end on this project......

          VW trikes go ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE 1960s!!!! Baby boomer bucket project.
          They still make parts for that engine???

            Appears to be from an '82/'83 850GL or 1100GL.

            Tail light appears to be off the same bike.

              So just how much uglier can a completely "RESTORED 750 get. And add insult to injury by asking $3500 for it!!!

                  No worries. He wont be selling it anyway. Leaving it behind is the only realistic game plan here.

                      All the good work on his bike was done by contractors. He want's money for their work.
                      His contribution was the spray can clown colors.

                            88 Katana 600 or 750 would be my guess.
                            GS\'s since 1982: 55OMZ, 550ES, 750ET, (2) 1100ET\'s, 1100S, 1150ES. Current ride is an 83 Katana. Wifes bike is an 84 GS 1150ES
