Not CL, but FB marketplace. No link. This is in the town next to mine. Makes me sad and angry. There are more pics but I think these two really tell enough of this sad story.

Yeah, really sad. Reminds me of another sad destruction of a classic bike I saw a few years ago on ebay.
The sap bought a mint 1983 GPz750, then stripped it down into his cornball idea of a "cafe bike".
Glad I didn't download any pics.1982 GS1100G- road bike

Somebody once said something like "the reason some things are rare is because they weren't very well done" or something like that. That always sticks in my head when I see some posts touting the rarity of some piece of ahem, auto or motorcycle history that would best be forgotten.Tom

I have a 1982 GS1100E! But mine looks a little different. I think the color on his side covers is off by a shade...
And that 250 "Honda Yamaha"? He's probably leaving a little wiggle room with his asking price. He'll probably get no more than $5,200 to $5,300.1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red
2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

Funny ad
1984 Suzuki 750 GSR, 4 cyl, 750cc, 39k kms, don't message me, just call this number: 6 oh Four-Seven 8 Zero - 6_1_four_7 its my neighbour is selling the bike... he still uses wood to heat his house year around. Nicest guy you'll ever meet, he also walks around shirtless once in a while, and has dreamy hair! You'll want to come out just to hang out with him, and the bike thing is extra, you could try bribing him with beer... I'm giving away too much, call him now.No signature :(
