It was 50, so I figured I would take a short evening ride.

Interesting. Honda was slow to go with drilled/slotted/grooved brake rotors. The 83-85 CB650SC had plain rotors & the 84-86 CB700SC had slotted rotors.

They also tried to be different with those Comstar wheels.

Lots of Comstar varieties, some of which are pretty cool.

Ran out to HD to pick up some hardware for another motorcycle project. Admittedly, I'm a fair weather rider on the GS550 but man do I love riding it!

Got some fresh rubber fitted on Friday so had to scrub it in yesterday. Prediction was for showers but it turned out to be a beautiful morning for riding so the tyres are nicely scrubbed in now

Rob, Sean and I joined 6 others this morning and rode up to Bamfield.

Of course we met at Tim Horton's at 7:30 for breakfast.

                            Gas in Lake Cowichan

Bamfield is a pretty remote place...over 200kms from Victoria...the pub

We had to get gas at the marina...rode our bikes on to the dock..lol

We hit snow on the way home...

Looks a little wet and cold to me! Bamfield is a beautiful spot, I spent a bit of time there back in my glory days of salmon fishing. On the other side of the channel there is a really nice boardwalk that also connects to a trail that will take you to Brady's beach that overlooks Barkley Sound. Terrific squid fishing in Bamfield harbour too, a case of beer and some squid jigs provide hours of laughs, (as well as fresh calamari).
