sounds like you were being reasonable, and did enough to have confidence in your “Labor Day” schedule.

Been a while since I rode any distance so sore butt by the time I got home.
The bike needed a lot of service as I have neglected it for a few years. Tires, brakes, fork seals, exhaust leaks, battery, valve lash( many thanks to the shim club!)etc.
I walked by it one too many times this past winter as we didn't go south for a holiday and decided I was riding this summer. So, I blocked it up and stripped it to a frame with an engine in it, ordered parts. While I was waiting for parts although she never said anything I got a lotta sideways looks from the wife,,,,,,
pic is looking up the Slocan Lake towards New Denver.
Hopefully now the only sideways looks from your wife will be her enjoying the scenery while riding with you.

That's a very familiar looking setup.

I had a little ride yesterday to meet an old friend for breakfast. After I left him, I decided to take the long way home, total of 120 miles and found this little recreational area which I had never stopped at before. Actually stopped there waiting on the rain to pass.

We had a bit of rain to cool things down today. Not a crazy downpour, just a steady light rain. I ran acrodd town to give my parents an anniversary gift. They've already enjoyed 51 years of wedded bliss! Pffft, yeah right, LOL.

Caught a rainbow before it faded away. It only lasted a few minutes and I by the time I found a spot for a pic, it was fading away. Sandia Mountains in the background.

Looks like you had a great time as usual. Also looks like that ES of Rob's doesn't like it. Didn't it fail on it's last trip up there when Kevin had it?

It's for sale Roger. Actually I can show it to you in person when I take it to Arizona in Oct./Nov. I'll let you know when I come through ABQ as I would like to meet you perhaps for coffee somewhere.

Trevor, do I spot a Honda ST in your group? Maybe a ST1100/1300? Who is the rider? A member here or not?
