Sketchiest ride of the year tonight. It was warm, but only because of a very strong South wind. 30 to 50 mph strong. I got a fright when I got on the higway, caught a gust, and was blown around.... Its been a while since I've ridden in strong wind. Wind, showers... and a warm Christmas eve ride....Golden. I mainly stayed on small roads checking out Christmas lights. I also surpassed 2000 miles this year. A warm up lap for many here, but a big deal for me considering recent years. It was fun being "that idiot" out on a cycle in this weather. I just needed to get out and am glad I did. The heavy rain started just as I was about home.

    Merry Christmas my friends.

        Well done, Glen.
Having weather nice enough to allow a ride on Dec 24 is an excellent Christmas gift.

New Year hour & half morning ride. Damp, but no rain, low 50's, saggy chain.

I just noticed... is that an EFE head you have on there?

Pete, I'm pretty sure that's a complete EFE from another bike of his.
But what is noteworthy to me in this pic is the shiny wear marks on the sidestand and footrest. Signs of a bike well used.

Fixin' to get out for a little ride on the Sporty shortly. 60 degrees out, cloudy, but no rain.

Glen, that was a badass pic. I understand that statement about being the sole lunatic out on a bike. I once rode to the university in the snow on my GPz 550, doing burnouts at every light, being a nut.

I could give you some names of folks who went on a 1200 mile weekend, with 800 miles of tire, but I wouldn't want to embarrass anyone.
Hey! I resemble that remark! You'd think by now I'd learn, but this happened to me just last year. Also, I wasn't alone. Three of us on that trip replaced tires mid-trip due to underestimating tire wear or, in one case, a puncture.

So cool to see the turbo GS out in the wild.
.... a trip to Bonneville for some glamour shots of it in its natural habitat would be epic
