HAHA! I never thought of putting my bike thru the automatic wash bay. I may have to give that a try.

After a thorough cleaning last evening (in the hand-wash bay) at the local Buggy Wash (yes, that IS the name of the car wash business), I went for what may be my last ride of the season, or at least for a few months. Got way too close to a doe and her fawn for my comfort. Going in for hernia surgery on Friday.

Yeah, I was hoping to squeeze a camping weekend in with you this summer, but it flew by way too fast. With this bike I'm not afraid to range out further. Maybe next summer we can even meet closer to you.

Sorry for lack of pics, I tend to ride more and shoot {pics} less.
Love Push Mountain Rd. Last time I was up there with Dave Ruocco and his boy we rode it 3 times. It really has a nice flow. Glad you're enjoying the area.

Only bad thing is part of it has recently been chip sealed and it hasn't been bedded in fully. There are some spots that will still make the rear tire step out

Also Greg, if you recall the route between Jasper and Ponca, that is currently undergoing chip and seal and it is downright hazardous in several places.
I won't attempt to ride it again for a month from now.

Predicted high temp today is 68degF. Makes me think AINT summer time no mo’ . . . . but good enough for ridding!

Headed south this morning. South Haven again

for this scene, looking westward (northwest actually) I wanted to get there for a pic morning light.

And I found my way around to the other side of the channel/river/piers.

also rode around town and found a couple coffee shops and a couple bakery/dougnut shops, so had to choose. The photos and coffee/dougnut was my major objectives.

But, then decided to go to the Maritime Museum. Was interesting, The main building Was mostly about the huge ornate passenger ships of late 1880s early 1900s (not frighhters at all). ANd they had a working full size replica of an early 1800s sailing ship that was caputed by Bristish in War of 1812 and converted to war ship, then recaptured by US. It goes out on regular cruises, but not today due to predicted winds/waves. ANd have an old fishing ship from mid 1900s. And had some Exhibits on the Lifesaving service (predisessor of the Coast Guard). ANd some antique wooden race boats and pleasure boats. Is a few buildings around a working marinia. I spent almost 2 hours there.

And then was well into lunch time.

I saw plenty of resteraunts/cafes with lots of people there in the touristy downtown.
But then I remembered something I saw on my way into town, and found my way back there.

Yah, BBQ wagon in dollar store parking lot. Yum, was good.

Got sprinkled on for about 10 minutes on way home.

Again, not a lot of miles, about 150 miles, and not a big adventure, but good to be out-n-about for about 6 or 7 hours.

And, yes, I am keeping better track of fuel gauge and trip meter.

And.... And am working up the motovation to work on the GK.
