None of us are in a position to demand anything from anyone. I cannot force Steve to produce something he cannot locate. As much as I wanted to read some of the stories from his travels, I resigned myself to the posts on this thread. The physical book was definitely nice to have but the real log should be here anyway.

I don’t understand your issue here Norm. I asked him when Stator first arrived here after I spoke to Roger about it and both he and Bonita said they cleaned up for the remodeling they were doing and don’t remember where they put it. They also said they looked and couldn’t find it. I asked several more times over the year I had Stator and the answer was the same. Finally, I asked Steve to send the book directly to Chuck if he ever found it the same night I dropped Stator off at the post office.

From years ago I recall having a brand new pair of Raybans in my jacket pocket as I was riding on a highway.
Somehow the backdraft behind the windshield picked the case out of my pocket and for a fraction of a second I saw it hang in the air.....and then it was gone.Bertrand Russell: 'Men are born ignorant, not stupid. They are made stupid by education.'

I think most people who know Steve or have crossed paths with him know his character and SHOULD be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe that he actually lost it and can't find it. What possible gain is there for him or Bonita to purposely hold onto it and deceive all the people he's gotten to know over the years and shared so much of his experience and knowledge? I am questioning the character of some of you people.Current Bikes:
2001 Yamaha FZ1 (bought same one back)

Chuck, you can send him to me. Don’t know how much riding we’ll do over the winter, but I normally get out a day here and there through the cold months. Maybe I’ll start a new journal/photo album to go with him. Maybe he can help me do some wrenching. I’ll PM you my address.Rich
