Question regarding odometer and trip meter on 1982 gs650glz

I'm wondering if the odometer and trip meter are in km or miles? The speedometer reads in mph with km/h being the smaller numbers below but there's no indication as to what the odometer and trip meter are reading in. I suppose I could drive a known amount of miles and compare it to what the odometer indicates but then I wouldn't get to start a thread here with all you fine individuals. Thanks in advance.

Miles. If the KMs were the larger numbers the meters will read KMs.

Actually, if the IM were the larger numbers, they would be the ONLY numbers, and there would be no miles.

Well yeah. If its a KM set speedo the numbers will record KMs traveled and mile set ups will read miles traveled is what I should have said.
