longer logged in time needed
How do I set it up to stay logged in longer? Sometimes it takes me a long time to type or I take a phone call and when I come back and finish my thread , I have "timed out". It then makes me log in and the thread is lost.Current Rides: 82 GS1100E, 00 Triumph 955 Speed Triple:twistedevil:, 03 Kawasaki ZRX1200, 01 Honda GL1800, '15 Kawasaki 1000 Versys

Sign out and when you retype user name and password click on the "remember me" square....see if that works.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

NEVER SNEAK UP ON A SLEEPING DOG..NOT EVEN YOUR OWN.
I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

I'm no computer guy so I don't know if there's a way around it.
I used to type small novels and got timed out a few times and it was really frustrating. One day my son told me to "save" what I've typed before submitting it. That helped a lot.
I notice now that a yellow highlighted box shows up in the lower right side of the reply box that says "auto saved". It shows up several seconds (15 ?) after no typing activity. It's only on a couple of seconds. So this site is saving what you typed but I'm not sure how you retrieve your message if it appears to be lost. And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

If you going to take that long why not just compose your post in notepad or some such program then simply cut and paste when you're ready to post.'84 GS750EF (Oct 2015 BOM) '79 GS1000N (June 2007 BOM) My Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/soates50/

I wonder if this is a browser issue. I keep about a dozen tabs open and only turn my computer off about once a week for a reboot and maintenance. And when I reboot I'm still logged in.....Never been logged out ever........Old age and treachery will beat youth and skill every time1983 GS 750
