    Excellent Ebay Deal on 530 O-Ring Drive Chains

    I've bought four of them, they are N.O.S. with both a clip and rivet type master link.

    These are older O-Ring style (not newer X-Ring), but the only difference you'll notice when you install one is that it is a little stiffer than an X-Ring. Durability is equal to the X-Ring style.

    Half the price of a new RK, EK, or D.I.D.X-Ring chain with no noticeable performance loss. The tensile strength of 9,000 lbs. is plenty strong for any stock GS.

      Oops, too short fo my bikes. Nice price, just bought 2 bikemaster chains 114 links.

        From another thread of mine for the GS1000...

        The stock
        chain is 96 links x 6/8" = 72"

        For 530 it's 5/8" between pins so you need 115 links.

        I guess one option here is to buy 4 chains & make 3 x 115 link chains or for a group of people to buy chain & one person split one for the group.... I just replaced one otherwise I'd be in.

          I needed one 115 link chain, a 112, a 108 and a 100.

          I bought his last four 112 link chains. This worked out perfectly for me. I can even take a few links off the chain I'll be using for the 115 application, and put the extra 12 links from the 100 on it to get some extra space between the rivet master link and the clip master link.

          Four bikes rechained for about $270 total. Not bad.

            I don't think you can have an odd number of links. You would end up trying to connect mismatched ends. So 114 or 116. IIRC 114 is correct.
