Love my GS! Can't believe how much stress it relieves from my day?

Ive rode bikes since I was 12,(3.5hp mini bike), first real bike was at 14, a new cl70. Rode primarily dirt(ts185,ts250,pe250) till 85(Got a cherry 83gs550e) trade for some car repair(previous owner broke his arm and mom and girlfriend made him sell). Since then always had a dirt, and street bike in shop. My 1st real street bike ride was a 70cb750, at age 14, what a feeling, I never got over it? I graduated high school in 76, (the cb750 was the local bike of choice,(we only had a Honda dealer at the time). 15 years later I got a raged out, 3 color 76 cb750 super sport. Restored it and rode off and on while raising 4 kids and a family. In 99 I started my own business and had some extra $ for play and bought my 81 gs750(already had the 82, 1100 engine bolted on) I just wanted something newer and quicker than my cb. Took bout all winter, to completely teardown and custome paint and bodywork. Now I get more attention while riding the cb, lots of guys remember them, BUT, I love my GS, in the 5 years from 76 to 81, much Tec advancements happened! It rides so much smoother, has WAY better brakes, and of course more power .
I haven't rode many of the newer bikes, but I have rode some, give me the gs any day!
now I don't double, at least not an adult, I do take children for short rides. I can't stand a 700lb pulse bike, I'd rather go in a car, to me a bike is about the freedom feeling u get while in the saddle. Anyone else feel like bikes have cotton too large and Heavy? The original 60s era small cc , 300lb bikes were great! Just my thoughts. Had to ramble somewhere, wife don't want to hear it!
