Today you would need the studded tires -
Under the snow is 1/2" of ice -
The road surface was warmer yesterday and the first inch of snow melted on contact -
Then it got cold and more snow - ICE packed hard HARD ! on the roadway.
Mostly I am just grousing about the fact that I should still be riding (in a typical year at 49* avg)

So Carl, when did you put such a fancy fairing on your Goldwing? I never knew they made ones that stuck out that far and were that wide

Also known as the drive in version. Everyone gathers around and they show movies on it. LOL

                              Carl,
Yah, here we go again, a bit early this year.

Is a little bit of a different experience when start with it parked outside, and have to figure out how to brush off the snow enough to open the door to be able to get out the brush. THEn brush it off (as much as decide to brush off), and then drive off, maybe with still snow on hood, and maybe windshield not entirely clear, and snow on roof blowing back over the rear window.
