Yeah, there is virtually NO love for Kenda tires here. I don't know if Shinko has a front tire in your size, but they have a reputation that is a LOT better. Other tires have a bit longer life, but the Shinkos are decent tires.

valve adjustments, and rp is right check the fuel tank, if you dont have a way you do it u can buy a kit from kbs coatings, u dont need to use all the sealant just enough to seal the tank correctly. and shake the heck out of the tank with the rust remover u can use it sparingly and still get alot out if not all, i had 99% gone just some bad spots but basically nothing. take record of the fuel and vacuum size lines if ur changing them and dont know already.
these bikes arent necesarrily a diamond in the rough but they are great bikes nonetheless and it really matters howmuch you enjoy it, alot of fun to ride and it still has alot of things that modern bikes have.
check if ur master cylinder has crystals from brake fluid sitting on that note.Ian

The only reason Kendas are allowed on my property is if they are about to be changed.
I am not the slowest of riders, let's just say that I get my thrills with a reduced adrenaline level. Even at that riding pace, I have experienced a reduced confidence in traction available with the Kenda Challenger. Other riders that regularly explore the limits of traction on their tires have reported similar uncertainty with what I call "decent" tires, so I can only imagine what they would think of Kenda, especially the Challenger.
Nope, any Kendas that happen to make it here only get pushed around (carefully), NEVER ridden.

Thanks for all the info, fellas. My ultimate goal with this bike is to get it back together, get it running, and sell it come spring time. I bought it as part of my "Small Bike Rescue" side hustle, so it was never meant to be a long-term member of my stable. I'll definitely grab a set of those Pirellis for it though, that's a good tip. Hopefully I can find a good forever home for it, someone who can really appreciate it. I think it's really rad, but ultimately it's not my style.196X BSA Frankenbike Project Firebolt
