What did I get myself into lol.

I was going over some videos showing how to changed the oil, air filter, spark plugs and pulling the battery on our Spyder RT. OMG I'll never complain about working on my bike ever again.

Stuff I've done to my bike:dancing: 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

How much time does one budget in removing just the covers? 2 hours?

If you do it all at once, probably.

Just learned if you want the dealer software (called BUDS) for one's laptop to reset and work on a Spyder is very costly...like $1000 costly, then you have to get the license to use it. Seems from the Spyder forum most don't bother with it or just take it to the dealer for them to reset stuff. Frigging dealer has to buy it as well. BRP doesn't supply it to their dealers.

You're hitting on a problem that many motorsports enthusiasts are encountering. I see the same issue in the Subaru Forester forum.

          Ain't progress grand?
