    GS1100T or X?

When searching online for parts (like Babbitts Online) often times I see two part numbers. One for GS1100T and one for GS1100X (tach cable in the latest searc).
    I have a 1980 GS1100E. Note the absence of a "T" or "X".
    What is a "T" or "X"?

Thanks for any info you may have.

Sounds like year codes to me:

    1983 - D
    1982 - Z
    1981 - X
    1980 - I can't recall. T, anybody?
1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.
