    1980 GS1100e project finished

I had 1980 GS1100E project bike for sale on the GS wed site and no takers. So I decided to finish it and I am so glad I couldn't sell it I love the bike. I bought a 1978 Gs1000E when I was 18 , after 3 years I sold it and always regreted it. I bought another one 13 years ago and restored it and still love this bike. You cannot beat the newer fuel injected bikes but none have the sound of the old Bikes with the 4 into 1 headers. I am 64 years old and retired

Agreed. My bikes in this category have been:

    1973 Kaw Z1 (903)
    &
    1982 Suzi 1100E (1074)

Given your statement about the beautiful music the old air cooled liter bikes make, your ownership of a liquid cooled Kaw can be forgiven.

One more word about the old 'air' bikes: pods. When correctly jetted (I had mine done on a dynomometer), they add. Power & sound. Welcome to the site.
1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

Sorry rob, I just missed it down there in the fine print. Also I have no clue how you'd compare with chopped liver.

With a little Chianti, and Roasted well, probably fine.

My ZZR1200 has a nice set of carbs that never make me wish for fuel injection.

Very nice looking pair of bikes, they will be classics (if not already), but never easier to find.
