    Introduction

Hello all, I am a newbie from the Midwest but not new to motorcycles. I’ve been riding my whole life, and I recently picked up a 1982 GS550L (straight out of the barn) and am planning my first recon. So far, so good! But I know that it’s all in the details. Seeing the communities you can find on the World Wide Web is incredible. Thanks in advance for all the excellent information and help.

Thanks. Yea, mostly there. The Gas tank has a rust-through hole. I am unsure whether to take it to a radiator shop or look for another tank, but I'll get to that another day after it's running consistently.
