    Hi from Arizona

Well bought my first Suzuki, this is for my wife who is adding to her "Bucket list". Beth has been behind me since we met in 81' and we are now in our 60s. Found her sitting on my 1984 CB650sc Nighthawk in the garage, asked her if she was sorry she never learned to ride she said Yes. Sooo for Christmas I bought her a gift coupon for lessons, she aced them and now need a smaller bike than the CB. She is a Cancer survivor and Chemo messed up her leg/hand strength and the CB was a little too heavy for her to support so last night we bought a Little GS300. It needs a little love to square it away. The first thing I need to do is lighten up the clutch pull, just ordered a new cable so when I put it in Ill lube all bushings and moving parts. Any input will be welcome. I do motorcycle repairs on the side so I do have experience, a shop and table and tools, but input is always a necessity in making life easier at new brands (my favorite is Honda). Mightymousesr

So awesome! Thanks for the share mouser! Welcome aboard!

The GS300 I hear is a cool little bike. Smallest GS I'VE owned is a 400 and they are great little machine's!

Enjoy the Zook, find Bass Cliffs mega welcome, find his manuals and start to immerse you self into the world of Suzuki.

I actually have owned a good deal of Honda's myself. A V45, CB450, CX500, CM200, CB750, CBR600 and Honda Spree. All good bikes and if you can get around those you can get around a Zuk.

      Enjoy and good luck!

One of my favorite former bikes was a Honda, an '86 VF1000R.

Clutch pull, look at the lever and perch for wear, proper adjustment and of course get the cable from Suzuki. The Motion Pro cables suck.
Sounds like a great bike to learn on, although a smaller old dual sport for the first thousand miles or so might save a bunch of battle damage on the GS.

All the best with the Gs for your missus. My wife passed her test about 5 or 6 years back and kept her learner bike which in the UK was a Suzuki GZ125 which she loves and suits her needs as she is happy to just putter round at 50 MPH or so and it goes for ever on a full tank of fuel.
