I've reported both chuck and 83GS1100E_Tornado to the mods for their behavior in this great thread. Hopefully they will come and delete all the posts by these two knuckleheads and maybe give them a forum timeout. It sucks to see this kind of behavior around here.

I have not seen any posts that rate someone getting banned. What I do see are some posts severely lacking in class. The moderators really don't want to have to start policing the tech threads like Vortex. Let's keep this on the build topic. If you have a personal issue with someone, take it outside....outside of the forum.
We no longer do time-outs. We instead do warnings. If they are not heeded we permanently ban. No one need be worried about a ban unless they fall into one of two categories:
1. A troll
2. Someone who feeds trolls
...Believe in truth. To abandon fact is to abandon freedom.

You sure have some pretty cool parts laying around to trial. Builds looking great, always enjoy the shop photos.Rob

Hey Busa,
Cliff made a nifty tutorial on how to link high resolution photos to your posts. Please review so we can see more photos...

Two projects at one time...
I've been working in the garage on my projects, but I have more than one.
The GS had to sit to the side this week while I put 1147 10 1/2 pistons in my CBX
I know...I know....evil words to most of you guys. Collecting more parts for the GS, before I can do much towards piecing it back together. So I needed to do this while I've got time.

Pop-y
Another key part to the GS showed up from Japan this week....
It is a Genuine Yoshimura oil cooler, lines, and fittings...
POP-Y = Pops Yoshimura....

My focus was on the mechanical and performance side of this bike so I stuck with a "rat-rod" style, stripping the paint and leaving the brushed, bare metal for the time being. The stickers were added for a show I was attending and got the attention of the show judges enough to get some love. The owners of Throttle Jockey liked it enough to donate another 100 stickers (for later application). I will go with it for now until I get tired of it. I do have all the parts to rest-mod this bike but really like the rough and ready period parts. I do have a all the modern parts (front end & rear end) and a sweet set of 17" Dymags with wave rotors that would go pretty sweet! Hmmm?
With the Dyna S ignition, 29mm smoothies, etc, etc. the bike has been a flawless street monster. Can't wait to see how you finish your GS, looks like it is coming together FAST!

Thanks for the kind words guys...
The rear sets on the CBX were originally black, so I used paint remover to get them back to bare aluminum....
Kinda went with the aluminum/silver theme of the bike when I originally built it the first time back in 96-97.
Not too many other options for CBX's, except the euro kit factory rearsets...$$$
Viperg....We keep crossing paths through various forums and different bike events, but still have never met.
I actually had a guy from Fort Wayne call me about my Cobra I have for sale on craigslist mention you. He saw some of my bikes in the garage by my car in the pics, and said he had an RGV250 like mine....talked for about 45 minutes about bikes and shows he knows you from. And never got back to talking about my car for sale.
Maybe by this spring I'll have a few more options, and ride into one of those shows you do in your area. Or meet you up in Michigan at the Gilmore show.

Maybe this next year we will catch-up since we do appear to have very similar interests in the era of MC's that we collect and enjoy. I did sell the original 72J that I picked up in the spring after doing a light clean-up and maintenance. That bike had not ran since 1984 and ran very well when I was done. I rode it 1500 miles and let it go.
Incidentally, our paths have crossed on Vintage Motorcycles Online where I recently saw your period modded GS1000 on their FB page. Nolan Woodbury who is the editor ran a story on my modded Water Buffalo when I finished it. Os course, it was not a big surprise to see your beautiful super bike since NW is a huge Suzuki GS1000 fan.1982 1100G - 1979 1000SN Cooley #703 - 1982 Kawasaki ELR#337 - 1982 Katana 1000SZ (X3) #769, #872, #1963 - 1983 1100E mid-night blue (X2) - Ducati 907ie - 1976 GT750 Bad Buffalo

Gilmore got rained out more or less early in the day that Sunday for the show.... Hope next spring is dryer.....and warmer.
I have not seen the Vintage Motorcycles Online Face Book page (I do not have Facebook....nothing but trouble for me in the long run)
But if you have some kind of link, I would like to see it (my girlfriend has a Facebook page she could show me through)
I've seen your GT in several different stories/topics for discussion.... It's definitely a cool bike (still have those PM wheels?....wondering if you might be tired of storing them )
