    Nice coupe., are those "vintage" halibrans on the front? Love the unpolished speed parts on top of the hemi.

      The wheels on the HEMI are newer production aluminum, not the original magnesium style. My dad wanted to go with a more modern rim design, so I bought him these tires and wheels for Christmas, so he couldn't say no. I felt the car needed a late 60's early 70's look to it...he finally agreed

      If you look at the thread link you can see the CBX started out as less than a basket case....it was scrap. This GS 1000 I just found is worlds better, as far as condition goes.....Also, the guy with the GT550 really ****ed me off as you can tell with my response to him...

      As far as help running....It's just my two hands turning wrenches and the internet when I find myself in a corner... I'm the guy people bring their bike to when no one else can figure things out.

      The other GS 1000 I have has magnesium Italian EPM's dated 1982. The bike has a 19 on front right now, but I have a set of 18 front and rear EPM wheels, with Kosman 13 inch rotors on a shelf when it gets it's total rebuild.

          The Hayabusa is 2002 I bought out of the crate
          its a all black limited.... And still 100% stock

            That 1000 is a fantasy on wheels. Very nice!
            1981 GS 1100e turbo, 83 motor, turbo pistons, new head, new turbo, backed and welded clutch basket, Dyna S ignition, cbr 929 front end, gsxr 750 rear end with 190 tire, all carbon fiber covered bodywork.

              I am running a 110/18" front. Turns in a little quicker, stable at speed. Plenty of rubber to be found.

                    No mirrors or signals, if anything it will be even less street legal when I completely rebuild it with engine/frame/suspension/brake mods... All parts will be period correct for a late 70's early 80's AMA superbike.
                    The header is a vintage thick gage Kerker, with full on race baffle (music when pulling up from midrange)...but rear footpeg frame mounts need to be cut from frame...

                        What shape are the stock pipes in? What you plan on doing with them??? If they will fit up to an 82 850G I know a guy that just may be interested in buying them.

                          The pipes from my GS that I have had for a while, was the race Kerker. The bike I just bought, I'm not sure exactly what direction I'm going with that. At this point I'm going to try and keep it a stock as long as it run ok, and only possibly change the wheels and brakes. If I do find a good vintage header for it, I will sell the stock pipes on this site to one of you guys on here. It looks extremely clean, with just a bit of rash on the very ends on each side.As far as a track day bike..... That in all honesty was the original reason I bought the GS I got almost 8 years ago. But I then bought an Aprilia RS250 track bike (two stroke 90 degree V twin GP style) to learn on... And the GS has been collecting dust and parts since.

                            Yeah sounds like shes been at max lean angle a few times...as she should be!!! In any case, I am not 100% "SURE' they are the right head port spacing for KCs 850. But I do know at some point the bike he has had been really really hot as the entire right side muffler has been blued. I rebuilt the carbs and she runs perfectly though.

                            Carbs synced, charges, even heat across all 4 down pipes etc etc. Not the slightest tick in the engine top end or bottom end. Just that muffler has been smoked. None of the down pipes look bad either..just that right side can. Kinda doesnt makes sense that the can would be so heat evident and none of the pipes show the same.

                              Sounds like that muffler may be, or have been plugged up. I know on a car when a ctalitic converter gets plugged it will get glowing red hot. But the pipe feeding it will not...

                                Spyder.. Next time I am over there, should i start it with the fan in front of the engine and let it run a while and feel the cans for noticable temp differences?? Its not acting or sounding like theres any restrictions right now. Ive never dealt with a potential plugged up one so any advice would be appreciated.
