Welcome and if you don't know but the 1980 GS bike had an on/prime petcock with no reserve, also it is vacume operated, if the screw setting is vertical it is on prime and after shutting down the bike, you can end up with the fuel filled crankcase. The screw should be horizontal for run, mine looks like it is 35 yrs. old seeps a little around the screws, no big deal, but works fine. I have a new one waiting for my new tank. You can find that petcock from George Fixs on ebay 50mm spacing, under $50.00 www.georgefixs.com

I have a set of 1980 GS750 BS32SS carbs coming in from ebay that will be rebuilt as a set or parted out. I'll know better when they arrive. If you're interested in them as a set or just the #2 body then let me know and I'll hold them for you.Last edited by JTGS850GL; 07-06-2015, 12:23 PM.http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg

1998 Honda ST1100 (Daily long distance rider)
1982 GS850GLZ (Daily rider when the weather is crap)
Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)
