Welcome to the forum Werner, thanks for posting your VIN and Engine number, I'm keeping a register of all known GS1000S's and will add them to it.

As far as the boots for the VM30 carbs you will need an answer from one of the members in Australia or NZ to respond as our bikes here in North America got the CV34's carbs and none of the parts fiches show that model here.

BTW what is the outside diameter of the carb body where the boot attaches?

This is what's available here, outside diameter of front of carb 42mm, rear 55mm and mounting holes are approx. 67mm center to center.

    Hope this helps.

We love pictures, so post pictures of your bike when you get a chance.

Werner, looks like the mounting hole spacing is the same, I measured mine while on the bike so sounds like they are the same, ours are also 28mm long.

Can you measure your carb body where it attaches to the boot and see if that's the same as your boot measurement, they are pretty close to what you need, I just don't have any boots to measure here other than the ones on my bikes and I'm not pulling them off anytime soon.

The guys who may know would be GregT from NZ or Sharpy from Australia.

I have the original PN for these boots but there are unavailable as far as I know...
Beware that Suzuki has reused some of these PN's for other purposes!
            Here is the microfiche

By the way none of the parts of the VM 30's are available but I found a trick to create new "valve needles" i.e. PN 13

Thanks for the PN john.i have looked everywhere for those manifolds and had no luck yet.a wrecker from Christchurch reckons the GS850G has the same sizes as the ST ( he does not know what year )I have now glued the rubber part to the metal flansh with JB Weld and hope it will do the job.i will be cleaning the VM30SS and then I can test it.where are you in France ? I will be in Switzerland next sommer and if your not too far away I would like to come and have a beer with you. With kind regards. Werner

I'm in the south west of France in Dordogne to be more precise.
You are welcome for a beer allthough it's quite far away from Switzerland ( at least for a European!)
