GS1000G phoenix arises from the ashes.....

Hi Everyone, This is Bruce from Australia. My soon-to-exist ride is an '81 GS1000g, now with 1100 kitted motor.
This is an outfit (sidecar fitted) which I bought from a deceased estate in March. Tried to ride it home from Sydney
but soon realized motor was very tired so I trucked it home the rest of the way. It had a whole host of stuff fitted
which I didn't want....e.g. 500kg (1100lb) winch, CB radio, old generation stereo, etc etc. So I've stripped much of this off &
have cut the weight by about 20kg (44lb). The bike is canary yellow & in pretty good shape & I will post images as soon as
I can. It has an old Vetter Windjammer fairing, Gold Wing panniers, heated grips. Gotta balance carbs, check fuel mixture with
tuner etc. More news as it breaks.

Always like to see a GS1000 resurrected. Good luck on the project.
