it took 6 months to put together a good, cheap set of Vetter saddlebags for my 1000G

Finally scored a fairly good set of vetter saddlebags, with keys, on eBay for under $100, inc'g shipping. Just before that, I found a good set of nos vetter bag mount frames, at a Michigan motorcycle shop's internet site for about $70, with shipping. It's been a long search to get them. Up until now, most of what I found either didn't have keys, or were really beat, or were $400. I had gotten to the point of setting for other types of bags, or paying $400 for some 30yr old bags that someone took off a parts bike that they paid $100 for.
It's given me new energy to get moving on this project. Now, I have to finish getting the burnt & distorted 9-pin electrical connectors replaced & see if this old warrior will start...

    Congratulations,

you beat me to it. I've been looking for the same for almost four years, with similar experiences

Can't wait to see it all put together
