    Suzuki Gs identifying it

    Been a member awhile, great forum

    Any help identifying what i have brought from this info

    Suzuki gs 1978 uk model I think

    Frame No 513561

    Engine No 119965

    No vin plate on bike

      The engine cylinder assembly will have a CC reference cast in somewhere. Not sure about UK but in the US the head tube will have a sticker referencing model info.

        That could be 78 GS1000. http://www.ozebook.com/compendium/su...nos/engnos.htm
        The engine size should be on the bottom of the front of the block at No 1 cylinder - left side as you sit on the bike.
        There could also be a model designation in front of the engine number by the oil filler. Something like GSxxxx - 119965

          Thanks for all the good info much appreciated to all

          frame number was throwing me, i was just going on the info i had not the looks

          So its a UK 1978 GS1000EC

          i wii start a new thread with a picture now i have the camera back

            Have you checked this frame to model chart? Going by your engine number it looks like you've a GS1000EC.
