    Newbie from Seattle

    Just picked up a 1980 GS850GT. Doesn't run yet, half the parts are in a box, but I was lookin' for a project and I found one. Looking forward to getting going on it.

    Welcome. Seattleite here as well. Heard of "backfire night"?
    1981 GS 1100e turbo, 83 motor, turbo pistons, new head, new turbo, backed and welded clutch basket, Dyna S ignition, cbr 929 front end, gsxr 750 rear end with 190 tire, all carbon fiber covered bodywork.

          Welcome. Pretty new here as well from Kitsap County with an also non running GS. An 83 1100GL in my case. Best of luck and I've found people here to be fantastic already in my short time here.
