Hi , I purchased a GS1000st a few months back here in Perth Australia

Chassis 535124 Engine 152467. The Aussie compliance plate is stamped 3/81 so I guess this is one of the last

Its in average condition but has been painted black and purple. It appears to be a original S as its got all of the S parts, Wheels, carbs, fairing even has the double clutch plate but its fitted with E side covers and a Fluted tank.
If any one has an original tank they want to sell please let me know, as am going to restore it after I finish my Gt750 water bottle and don't want to use that much bog on the fluted tank .

great website with a s---load of good info.
    Cheers

    Rob

E side covers are the same as the S..just a matter of paint and some filler in the emblem mount holes.. Yes the 53XXXX VIN is what an 80 model S should have so its a real Cooley. You gonna go with the blue ore red colors??? That indented tank is worth some good coin if its in good shape. 300 to 500 USD on some days!!

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Not sure which colour to go for but I had a blue Sn 20 years ago in Christchurch NZ and really like it. I was planning of removing the purple paint and try see what colour is was originally.
The tank is in good condition ,no rust/dents or leaks .If I can find a good Tank id happily swap/sell.
        Cheers
