Hi all, just bought my first GS1000, unfortunately it's all in many boxes yet, but I hope to have it up and running (eventually)

Hi Fatboy and Welcome. In case you haven't found it yet http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/
This is a mine of useful information. Nothing in there about how to search through boxes. You're on your own there I'm afraid

Welcome Fatboy! Your shed looks like it's been inhabited by motorbikes before. A nice leak proof tank and seat are a good start. I case you aren't aware there is a UK owners group on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/uksuzukigsowners/ They don't require motors to join...

Hi all I'm over in Stoke on Trent, yeah Charlie G you could the sheds seen a few bikes lol, at moment the GS shares the garden shed with a standard(ish) FZ1N and a 1216 Bandit turbo.
From what I've found out the GS has been stripped since 1984, so the engine is a ball of rust, not sure which way to go with that yet, but I've got a Bandit front and back end from my Bandit build, so I think I'll try to use those to update the GS

I'm guessing the Bandit Turbo is fast.

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.
