My first Suzuki and is a 82 GS 1100L

1457309673574.jpg Hello everyone my name is Luis I currently have an 78 Goldwing, 85 Sabre 750, Yamaha Radian 600 and a 2014 R6. I owned many bikes but never a Suzuki this will be my first ever so here I'm in this forum to get some advice on this GS1100L. So far I'm very impressed with this bike lots of power and handles pretty good. I like the stock look except for the handlebar and the seat those are the only things I'm going change on this bike.

Seat and bars are an automatic change-out for a lot of L owners.
I like some stepped seats, but I like being able to slide back more, especially on a long journey. The bars are just too much of a bad thing - whoever had wrists that could tolerate those?

I'm thinking on going with the superbike bars, but the seat is breaking my head, I have a solo seat on my Goldwing but on this bike I can't see or find any pictures of any GS with different seats other than the cafe look which I dont want.

Welcome Luis. I once got a speeding ticket on the Thruway near Newburgh....
My first streetbike was a Kawasaki LTD with similarly awful handlebars. Superbike bars helped.... a lot.

Got to be careful riding in the thruway if you riding alone, I got a speeding ticket last year I was going 74mph on 65mph State Trooper got me good.
