Ever have a "friend" who only showed up when he needed something? Yeah, that'd be me.


I joined the forum about 12 years ago when I bought a 1982-ish GS450, then stopped visiting when I gave it to my son-in-law and upgraded to a Triumph. Then I gave that to my daughter and other son-in-law as a wedding gift three years ago. After visiting them in Florida two weeks ago and seeing their stable (they've added a couple bikes since then) I decided I needed to get back on two wheels. So I found a '78 GS750E that I could afford, and am now collecting the pieces necessary to put it in service. It runs, which helps a lot, but I don't think it'll pass inspection with only one mirror. The rest is cosmetic.

That said, anybody got a suggestion for a replacement seat cover?

Thanks! Their stuff came up when I searched on Ebay but it wasn't obvious to me from the photos how well it'd work on the stepped seat. But I found a thread on the forum here about how to do it and it looks great.
