Is this the right place for a newbie thead?

    I hope so!

Just got my first GS850G about a month ago and am absolutely in love with it. It has that, for lack of a better term, X factor that my previous sport bikes just haven't been able to hold a candle to.

I'd be an idiot not to make the most and completely throw myself in the deep here, so here I am.

Pictures will follow soon, I promise!

Welcome Great88. This isn't the right place for introductions. This is a non controversial off topic forum. You want to use the GS Owners forum, to say hi and get yopur proper welcome. Looking forward to seeing photos of your bike.

I tried, but the amount of subforums was pretty daunting! I'll leave this thread alone, hopefully a mod can trash/move it and I'll get in gear with the pics. Cheers GSRick!

Welcome to the Mad house! I think it's pretty enlightened of you to consider a shaft bike to have a bit of an X factor. Makes sense though......

Welcome to the GSR. Yeah, technically the appropriate forum would be owners or general motorcycle discussion, but campfire is a non controversial, any topic forum, so there is nothing I see that makes it really out of place here. I doubt anyone will mind if you leave the thread here. It just isn't any big deal. heh

If you do wish to delete the thread and repost it in another forum, all you have to do is click on the reply at the bottome of your first post and select the delete box, click delete. That will delete your first post and any replies made to it.

I would just leave it where it is though.

No problem - moved you here.

Just post the promised pics, otherwise risk getting banned!
