    I'm a newbie on here, I have a '80 GS1000G!

I had a '78 GS1000E back in that day...I'm looking for a good parts place to order from. I need a choke cable for my '80 GS1000G. Mine won't budge.

Can you move the choke bar on the carbs by hand? You should be able to lube that cable, I'd remove it and work some PB Blaster in the sleeve. It may not be the cable, you may have a stuck choke on one of the carbs holding everything up. A light tap on the end of the bar may free it up. Don't force it though, you may damage parts.

Welcome aboard. Try ebay or in our parts wanted section here.
Got any pics of the bike?
