First bike at 14 years old, been hooked ever since.

They have sit for a few years, thought it was time to get them back in shape.
Getting on hear to get all the bugs out of my GS.
Bike history, bought it at a bike salvage yard bout 15 years ago.
It was a stock gs750e with a stock gs1100 engine. Previous owner did it to try to keep
up with his younger friends. Bike ran like crap when I drove it home. After a tune up and
    carb tune it was ok.
Completly disassembled bike to do a custom. Took bout a year. What do u all think?

Interesting look to the back end. From what did you take the fender?

Do you do all of your own prep and paint?

To post more than one picture at a time, host your images on a 3rd party site like Google images, Imgur, ImageShack etc (note: do NOT use Photobucket), and copy and paste the IMG code into your post

It's well done, though for my taste, the looks are somewhere in between. I do applaud that you haven't butchered up the frame too much to get a bobber look, but still, the seat and rear fender look a bit weird from the side. I would've gone a bit more towards café stye.

But to reiterate, all of this is personal taste. Judging from the pictures, this looks like a very well done job; not FUBAR'ing the starting point and at the same time still being something unique.

(Edit: the exhaust...still within legal limits though, right? Not a ****-everyones-ears-around-me model?)

I think "How well do 1166 cc's push that 750 frame around?" I'm guessing it's pretty fun to ride. Looks fine to me. You've made it your own without getting totally crazy.

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.

Fender is some kind of HD repordouction.
Yes I do my own paint. Had some training in early 80s.
And yes it is a blast to ride. It lifts the front tire a foot when shifting into second hard.
The swing arm is off a 1150 I believe.
The engine was a bolt on. Frames almost identical.
I've also done the smaller chain conversion.
I can stay right beside my son's gsxr600 (2005 MODEL) FOR A WAYS then I get nervous bout 90_100mph and he comes by.
It tightens my but cheeks every time I get in it.
But so does the stock 12 year old gsxr.
It rides better and brakes better than my cb750f , much better for only 5 years different.
And yes it don't look like anybody else's.
Still have some carb tuning to do. I'm leaning it for cruise ing instead of 1/4mile.
And a slight bounce in the front tire. 90 90 19
Thinking bout 100 90 19 to replace it before I try to sort it out.
Slight head shake around 90 or so.
Got some h4 headlights ordered. Modern lights and old age have spoiled me.
My son the gsxr600 rider is impressed thar we had that much power available in the 70s,80s.
And before I forget I was happy with the stock engine.
My bike salvage owner and I became good friends, he raced 1/8 mile with a 1166.
When he upgrad3d he offered me pistons and jug for 200$ I couldn't say no.
A set of rings and gaskets later I was on the road.
After the first test ride I was SHAKING for a while.

Welcome. I'm not crazy about the style, but more importantly it looks to be nicely detailed, and well done.
                    Swingarm is a GS 1100. 1150s had a monoshock.

The exhaust and some of the brackets are header coated.
As far as noise it's quieter than u think. Inside the collector is a baffle wrapped with
                      Tight weave fiberglass mat.
Anyone else using hagon rear shocks, they ant as soft as I thought they would be.
Would like to put the SUZUKI back on the engine side covers without breaking the bank.
                      Any IDEAS?

You might want to upgrade the pod filters before spending more time tuning the carbs. APE are less expensive than K&N. I couldn't get my 1100 with pods to run perfect until I upgraded. (I got lucky and picked some K&Ns up in a trade). Those cone style are super cheap but it's for a reason.
