    image.jpgJust a quick hello from Ireland..... I have a 1977 GS750.... I'm mechanically inept so I ll apologise before hand for any stupid questions I may ask......which is more likely after copious amounts of alcohol....so hi to all

    Welcome to the GSR, Newbie! I'm quite green as well (not Irish, just new to the forum ). There's a great bunch of folks here that won't steer you wrongly. Enjoy the journey!!

        Thanks for picture.
        Looks like aftermarket exhaust, lower bars, but otherwise fairly stock. Probably original paint.

        Do ask questions (preferably in appropriate tech section; carb, electrical ectetera). Would be good to try a search first, may find similar discussion already.

        Yes, lot of folks here willing to help. Most know what they are talking about.
        Many will help (well, some until they hear you are going to take a sawzall to it).

              Not going to deny you whatever pleasure you might think you get out of the alcohol, I will only suggest that you hold off on the consumption while working on the bike. Save it for the victory celebration at the end of a work session. There is just so MUCH that relies on attention to detail, it would be best to not work impaired.
