just became the new owner of a GS

Hi All, After looking around for a few years I finally found a bike I thought was worth buying to replace my KTM hooligan machine.
I just picked up a GS1000G 1984 model. It has a few issues but it runs well and it looks good for its age.
I can see a few small things that i will need to get some advice on but on the whole it rides well.
will upload a few pics when i can

      Welcome to TheGSR Marco.

Yah, pics would be good (especially after your statement of it being "worthy")

IS another guy that recently joined and introduced himself as being from South Africa.
      And are others also.

I had an XS1100 about 25 years ago, I presume it must be a similar design although I'm struggling to find a workshop manual that covers the 1000G.

Not seen many of those black ceramic Cowley exhaust systems but i do like the look.
Twice i have been lucky enough to ride a 1290 Super Duke R, loved it but surely wouldn't have a license for very long.
