Headlight Swap options

Hey guys,

I have been searching the site and have seen some H4 bulb replacements among other things. I would be interested to hear from those who have swapped out the original light with a more modern triumph Bonneville headlight or any of the ebay models, would like to see some cool examples or ideas of how to make the stock headlight brighter and better.

An H4 conversion is a definite step in the right direction, but that one in your link has me puzzled. It claims "300W", which I take to be 300 watts. It also claims to be LED, but never mentions the word "equivalent" or anything else to believe that it's not actually drawing 300 watts from your bike. Your bike will not support a 300 watt draw for anything, let alone a headlight.

Now, if it is claiming to throw out the same amount of light as a 300 watt incandescent bulb, it might not be all that bad. You could "take one for the team" and buy one to let us know how it works out. Or, you can go with a proven product and get a TruckLite headlight. I have no idea what they claim for "wattage equivalent", but there are many of us here that have one and REALLY enjoy them.
