    New GS1100 owner here!

Hey! Kinda new here, excited to be a part of the community.
I recently purchased an ‘82 GS1100GK, for $450, maintained by a mechanic here in Atlanta.
I fell in love with the bike when I first saw it, loved it, and had to have it.
Below are what the previous owner did to it recently:

-Carbs cleaned, rebuilt, tuned, and balanced
-Vance and hines 4 into 1 exhaust
    -Dyna-S electronic ignition
    -Dyna Ignition coils
    -New tires
-New wheel bearings, front and rear
    -New swingarm bearings
    -New steering head bearings
    -Forks rebuild
    -Valves adjusted
    -MCCT installed
    -Petcock rebuilt
    -Aftermarket seat
    -Fresh fluids all around
    -SS brake lines
-All brake calipers rebuilt, new pistons in front calipers
    -New front brake master cylinder
-Wiring harness cleaned up, charges great

I’ve ridden the bike a few times this week and absolutely love it.
Excited to be a part of the GS community, and excited to get more time on the seat.

    here’s some pictures!

    Welcome to the site, Ondina.
You have certainly come to the right place for every aspect of GS ownership.
The fact you are still riding at this time of the year is annoying but allowed. haha.

              Welcome again.
seems like you got a good deal. What you paid would not cover a portion of the work that was done.

How is the tach drive oil leak repair you did holding up?

i see you have figured not to call it a GK anymore., as it has had the fairing and bags and trunk removed.

One would think all that remains is same as a 1100g, and that is true except for the front forks are larger diameter and are further apart. So that also means the triple clamps and front fairing are different. But for the most part, when looking up parts you can go by 1100g or 1100gk.

In your list of mods you should add that has pod air filters instead of the stock air box. That, along with the aftermarket pipe, is significant in that the carbs will need to have been rejetted to get it to run right. (And determining which jets to change to is typically not easy).

I am not finding a way to post your imgbb pics so they display. All I could see was options for facerbooker and twiddle and such.

what maybe you can do is poke around thier share feature and find what they might call BBCode (bullitien board) or IMG code.

From the looks of the Header discoloration, I would say that it is likely still running too lean. Might want to check into that. With pods it is indeed a bit tricky to get it mixed correctly. Once you are there, you're gold, but getting there is a pain in the A$$. Good luck, and Merry Christmas.

The embed codes are at the bottom of the page, you have to click on Embed codes, then choose the BBcode for either full size of thumbnail. these are the full size. That is an incredible deal. looks like all the maintenance is done and it's ready to ride. enjoy.
