I'll admit to topping a couple of my Hayabusas out in 6th gear so can attest to the usefulness of a full fairing.

The fairing is a twin headlight fiberglass dual headlight job. It even came with two spare screens. I've never seen one like it (and I've seen a LOT of fairings) and am curious what it came from. Has a long frame mount with Dzus fastener attachment points. It looks to have been cut open along the lowers and re-glassed. Very intriguing. I think it will look fantastic on the bike but will hide that pretty GS motor, so it's give and take. The seller was showing me a pic of the bike and almost secondhandedly said "oh yeah I have that, do you want it"? Uhhh yessss....Tom

Might find something similar to your fairing on the Airtech site.
They have lots of vintage replicas. https://www.airtech-streamlining.com...odvintage.html
Just curious are those a set of Morris Mags?2@ \'78 GS1000

As for the wheels they are EPM. Per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magni_(motorcycle) it was one of the Magni brothers in Italy:
EPM were one of the world's first suppliers of aftermarket cast-alloy wheels. Carlo Magni developed this side of the business and it was spun off into a separate business, leaving Arturo and Giovanni to continue building motorcycles under the Magni name.

This is pure madness... but in a good way and I love it
Be good to get some crappy side covers and modify them to fit around the turbo to neaten the tank/seat join up again, but I'm with the other guys... throw a headlight on it and have some fun!1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

The side covers will mount just fine I think. For the clutch side, it'll fit once I get rid of that S&S monstrosity with its big teardrop shaped HD filter housing and replace with a shorter/smaller unit. If it works, I'll use whatever this one I've attached is - I think it's original from Mr. Turbo but who knows if it's a good choice these days.
The S&S is really weird, I'll look more into it once I disassemble. I'm worried about breaking bolts that have been through the ringer with extreme heat and age, so I have to consult the Oracle on that activity.
On the turbo side the cover fits but the heat may melt it. Maybe I could ceramic coat the forward half of the exhaust, thinking of options.
I will start a build thread soon, already stripping it. It never had much use except for straight line speed runs, so all the parts are in very good condition, much better than the Katana I did years ago.

Wow! A vintage S&S with an accelerator pump... I might think you would want a bigger one for more street-ability. Don't really know for sure though, as I have never seen someone put a single carb on these bikes. The thought has crossed my mind before though. Mostly thinking of space constraints, and wondered how it would work with a nicely fabricated intake manifold.
Edit : Thinking more about that, I guess they are designed to feed 1000 - 1800 cc twins, so I guess it doesn't really need to be bigger... Hmmm, can you imagine only having to tune one carburetor? LOLLast edited by Spyder; 03-10-2020, 02:07 PM.'83 GS 1100T

Yes thanks - the Keihin was in the parts pile. I have the S&S still mounted on the bike, I think it is a Super B. I have looked at some pics online, just need to confirm later tonight.
There is a fuel pump in the pile but as the bike sits, it has a hardware store petcock with a huge outlet, hose running directly to the carb. Not sure what's up with that. Fun to learn and research. I didn't see much of a float bowl on the S&S.

That would make a lot more sense. I was thinking that S&S was made in America, but it does look old, figured it was just a really old one I haven't seen before, lol.'83 GS 1100T
