    June 2023 botm

I took this picture in the summer of 2009, after owning this bike, my first, for half a year or so.
This 82 550L not only introduced me to riding, but I found this site because of it.
I always thought this was a BOTM-worthy photo -- all it took was a dry spell with few submissions! :-p

Kerry, sorry I didn’t post about this earlier, now that the month is over. That bike is definitely worthy of Bike of the Month.

Truth is I rarely visit the Homepage. Didn’t even know I had been picked a few months back til someone mentioned it. Thanks for bringing it up so we can appreciate it, til tomorrow.

Ooopsie, in my excitement I was confuzzled and I titled the post May 2023 BOTM.
I edited the title to properly say June.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the 550L look like the bike that appears on screen in Trainspotting?

Literally less than a full second on screen, a montage with a few Londoners surrounding the Suzi looking, or trying to look cool. Ring any bells, anyone?
