Get that figured out alke, I just punched it up and there is a very beautiful, red & white "80" GS1000 "S" sitting there. I've not seen one of those in person, we never got them in the U.S.

That used to be my bike.
      It's a 1979 SN, imported from Italy.
They did get the SN in red/white.

THE sweetest running engine of all my GS1000 motorcycles.
      I miss that bike ...

Still have the issue Larry ?

Then message Frank, maybe your IP has been blocked.

Note: Due to numerous attempts from foreign hackers to break into this website, code has been written to stop them.
One of the measures is tracking page loading.
If you quickly jump from page to page, then you may find yourself being locked out from accessing the website.
If that happens then let me (Frank) know and I will unlock your IP.

I thought those looked like VM carbs and no rear sets, but he said a 1980. Just thought things may have been different over there.

Plain discs, too. A 79 bike registered in 1980, possibly.

                  Correct
1979 SN, first registered in Italy in March 1980.
                  Imported in NL in 1997.
                  Mine from 2012-2024.

I sold the bike to Guus, who did a great job making it look way better than it did with me
