It is good to know that a European Skunk is as pretty as Skunks around the world.
    Nice bike, Stefan.

I have never seen a skunk in person in the US. That must be a rare machine amongst all those Beemers.

Congrats on a project well done !!

It was a tongue-in-cheek reference to it being labeled a 550L

                      August BOM

                      Stefan,

Great job on your rare find! The bike looks awesome, and the trick turn signals are very cool. I've always wanted to do the same (find a rare old bike and bring it back to it's glory!) - Congrats on a job well done, and thanks for sharing.

The rotors look to be the same as found on '83-'85 700/750 models.

Yes, I think many Suzuki's used these rotors from about 80' on.I want to bolt a pair on my 79 GS1000 to replace the solid rotors.Just like the look and if they perform better, great.
Curious about which calipers he used also.

He says he owned two bikes, the 550L before this one.
I don't think cast aluminum wheels were original on this bike with dual disks as well but it's a great ride. I like the turnsignals. Great visibility, more than the micro lights people use and it cleans up the rear nicely. I might get a set for my two bikes.
