Since I never come in through the 'front door' I never see BOM.

              I'll have to go hunt.

              Back in a minute.

                    Nick,

                    What a find.

Great bike in stock condition. And intersting that you got the story of it. That makes you pretty much the 2nd owner.

                    And great photo.

Beautiful example of a GS. Probably the nicest of the lot, but then I'm kind of biased when it comes to a black '79 GS1000. Sure wish mine was that nice.

                              Nick,
Great to see you still have my brothers old GS. He bought it new in 80 as a left over. At the time I was riding a brand new blue GS1100ET. (They only came in red and silver that year, but the 750's had the exact same bodywork and came in blue. So I swapped all the bodywork with a 750 in the crate.) My brother was the service manager and I was the parts manager at Sheridan Suzuki and Honda in Tonawanda New York. He built it right out of the crate and took very good care of it.
It's rare today to go look at a bike for sale where the owner says it's showroom condition and actually find a perfect bike. You've taken good care of it and I'm glad the bike is in good hands. But I can still remember watching you pull away with it wondering to myself why the hell I just sold that bike.
Now there's a GS850GT next to my FJR in the garage. The FJR is state of the art, but the Suzuki is still a gas to ride.
