Hi doubleblue, 172.000 km is not a lot for one of these engines with their full roller bearing crank and over-engineered running gear. She is stock with no engine mods so far however, the valve seals and a top end overhaul should be done in the next 12 months or so and that should see her running for the next 29 years! Perhaps a sporty pic to close with, cheers.

Mate it's good to see your Katana get up there, that's one sweet ride

Definitely have to try to catch up with you guys at some point if you're keen... once my 450 is done of course! Not that it will quite fit in with the Katanas...

Hi Mcloud, hhhmmmmm your right "wire wheels and palm trees" are sexy. As for your local version of wire wheels that is Hardcore Biking and I can't even imagine how you want to throw a leg over the bike and go for a ride in those conditions, maybe some Brandy shots first? A cold day here in Winter may drop to -3 or -4 degree celsius in the early morning but the Sun is out and the day is clear and crisp and ends up around the +12 or +16 degree mark but none of that white stuff. Thanks for the mail, cheers.
