    Not Fair - But man it's fun

    Ok, I know beating a car off the line isn't fair, but sometimes you gotta teach these young kids a lesson.

    There is this spot on my ride to work where 3 lanes merge into 2 after a traffic light. I don't do this in my cage, but I usually do it on the bike, as I'm much quicker. Anyway, light turns green and I'm still moving, so I get up to about 70 (55mph zone). Here comes this white mustang flying by. Some punk kid.

    Luck would have it. We get stopped at the next light. I'm sitting there and I see this kid lurching at the light. Cool, this will be interesting.

    Well, light turns green and I hear him chirping his tires (doesn't he know that loses precious time).

    Needless to say, the kid did keep up to about my back wheel thru first and into my power band in 2nd, but once I hit 3rd, SEE YA - PUNK! :twisted: :twisted: It was ugly after that.

    Probably good he didn't have the Cobra, but he should surely know better. At least he does by now.

    BTW: My wife says I still act like I'm 18. :roll: I can't help it. Sometimes it just needs to be done.

    WOO HOO.

    GS - 1
    Mustang - 0

          Dom, you should be proud.
          You were the one who convinced me that these are High Revving engines. Remember my visit long ago? You taught me the proper shifting and revving?
          I actually kept pace with a New Kaw 1500 on the way home that day. Ring any bells?

          Now, shoot - just a piece of cake. :roll: 8)

            Man, am I TOTALLY DISAPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            I thought for SURE this thread would incite some interest. :roll:

            Ok, on my way home is another 3 lane into 2. Unfortunately (for me) I usually make this light or I'm too far back to make an impact. Today - NO! First one inline. 8) So, I'm waiting to see who "My FOOD" is that "I'm GOING TO PLAY WITH". At first I thought "Poor S-10" however, NO, a Mercede's 2 seater pulls up. So, me being all Cocky and all - thinking "Hmm, this could be interesting?".

            Well, light turns, I BLEW the start - yet I still smoke him.
            Was he trying? I'm thinking NOT. Yet, I was 75 in a 45 and he was right there too. ?

            So, I'll take it.

            GS = 2
            Mustang = 0
            Merc. (2 seater) = 0

            Earl, I'm ready for ya. NOT. :?

                Picking on those poor cagers!

                I must be jaded or at least really forgotten what its' like to shift fast & winding her up
                trying to stomp on these cagers...perhaps when I get the 1000 done up & I get off that over-powered 1150, I'll have to work slightly harder to beat those pesky cages.

                  You have to understand, Dave, that this is most likely a daily occurence to most of us. You know a, been there, done that, type of thing. Just ask Earl!

                            The little bear doesnt frighten easily. Most cages get poofed without exceeding 4k rpm and shifting normally. :-) Vettes take about 5k. Nothing on four wheels requires me to go beyond 6.5k. :-) The rev limiter is set to 9500, so I still have a bit left. heh heh
