What I learned at the GSR convention

A relative "newbie" I am, but I drove to the recent GSR convention at Roaring River State Park (in a van), and ate pizza for a couple hours at Dpeps expense. Here is what I learned as a result of my minimal participation. (Sorry this is late but I've been on vacation for the past couple of weeks and didn't access to a computer).

    a) you should go if you can.
    b) the people were great fun.
    c) Don't use your first name to identify yourself on the forum.....the lack of creativity confuses people

Thanks to you who helped make it happen.

Never use an avatar of your actual photo either. It ruins the surprise

Gee, Mark if I'd known someone from Nebraska was going to be at the pizza party I would have left a Husker Do game so you would have been able to entertain yourself.

No no! I disagree! Everyone should use their own pic as an avatar and then if we meet someday no one gets frightened or faints.

I'll even bite the bullet and start it off. Who's got the kahonas to join me, eh, John?

OK I'm game. This is the most recent photo I have of me. It isn't the best shot and that may be a good thing

I've been proudly displaying my mug (and using my son to make me look better) for awhile now ... I'll have to update it soon to include my daughter.

                    Enjoy,

Seriously though... I still get ID'ed to buy cigarettes and beer. And on more than one occasion I've been asked to leave the store and take my fake ID with me! 8O
