What I found interesting was Syafi's way of communicating how he could "think" during the middle of his crash. Its interesting how when that stuff happens it is often experienced in slow motion.

I went down on the freeway in the rain a few years ago and it was the same thing. Weird.

Not Me! What I remember of My only Street Crash Is thinking "OH SH#t" and coming to a stop and Thinking "Well I can move so I must not be Dead!" No pain until later, but Plenty Then!
      sigpic2002 KLR650 Ugly but fun!
2001 KLR650 too pretty to get dirty

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

Many people didnt know but it is actually an easy fix to have your arm feel alive & better.

Just get martial art oilment ( the one that feel hot when you rub ) & rub it all over, the opposite arm & shoulder, & the hips & the palm of hand & feet. The nerves there will react to the oilment and make blood circulate better in your arms.

I still cant figure how that happens, its like a slow motion movie, and like the movie where the actor sees a flashback, see one thing then nothing/blank then the other thing then blank then............

maybe its the design of the brain to cut off our sense and just show some of the thing happening to avoid us from trying to do stupid things in the process

what I remember from that crash is

        1- riding strainght
2- see 3 guy got into my lane suddenly
3- the other lane is full of cars - no way to change lane.
        4 - hit both brake
5 - saw the 3 bike rear so close
6 think - This time I am going to hit the road.
7 see my hand trying to stop me from hitting the road
8 - think - take back the hand dont do it. ( i still cant believe my palm got skin lost because it still hold the road without my approvement nor did i remember touching the road.........
        9 Rolling,
10 - think, yes good just roll & follow the rythm.
11- Think hmmm why stop so soon, it feel good rolling.

Then get up, see i am 10+ feet down the waterbed beside the road. and amazingly lucky didnt hit ANY of the tree & crash barrier that just 10 feet from each other.

I didnt remember the skidding, but yes I skidded about about 10++ meter before I roll.

I just went to that road 1 time last month and never went back ), Still thinking to take a picture of that place though, It really is a miracle, not having any real damage on my body with that kind of accident......

That place do have accident about once every week but usually only 10-15 people stop and try to help, but me......... its over 100 people stop. I believe the skid & roll was just unbelievable to those witnessing that accident.

I can only Thank God I survive and being saved from major injury.

I did learn few thing in here as well about it from others experiance they share, I never ever really fall down below in motorbike. so as this bike was quite big & heavy ( for me at least )

I tried to see & learn what should i expect & do in case the worst happens.............maybe I should not have done it because just maybe my inconcious mind wanted to test what i have learn and read earlier ..............
