    Not really a story, but........

This kind of thing happens to me all the time. You too?

I stopped at the store this morning and was standing in the checkout line with my single $3.10 item. My turn comes and the lady takes the item, and rings it up. I handed her a $5 and reached in my pocket for a quarter so I wouldnt get a bunch of change back. She takes the five, doesnt look at my outstretched hand holding the quarter, and counts out the change from the register. As she starts to hand it to me, she realizes I'm holding out a quarter. Her eyes roll slightly as she drops the change back into the register and starts over. I said, I wasnt going to yell at you, I figured you would probably notice the quarter before one of us died. :-) She looked at me and said, "you suck". I replied since she had brought the subject up, so did she. She retorted with, "I certainly do", to which my reply was, that that wasnt necessarily a bad thing. Then I added that she was really short and might want to look into getting some shoes with taller heels. :-) By now, the line behind me is completely cracking up and the lady is starting to really get into the exchange. Unfortunately, I had to go.

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

I have a lot of fun picking on the ladies. :-) Once, razzing a young lady I was buying some bike parts from resulted in her giving me a $100 discount. :-)

Razzing nothing... being amiable and flirting a bit never hurt anyone... Keeps you sharp and helps quicken your wit... If you visit often enough you get known and people will tend to go out of thier way to help you because they know you're going to brighten thier day a little bit with your charm and witticism...
