Since we weren't going to see the entertainment origianlly posted in the meeting place thread, we decided to ride instead.
Edbot,Jethro, pillage and myself met off rte 89 in NH for some backroads.
We met around 9:30am on a beautiful Saturday morning. Nice sunshine, no humidity, nice calm temps in the lower 70's. A perfect start to a day.
Off we go with Jethro(Geoff) taking the lead. He knows some outstanding back roads thru this part of New Hamsphire. Couple of lefts and rights and we're traveling down some nice twisty spruce lined roads.
Edbot is on a brand new Triumph Bonnevile. Brand new, like still being broken in with just over 500 miles on it.
Now Geoff and Andy usually ride with the afterburners lit, maybe not engaged, but at the ready. So Ed and I take up tailgunner of the group.
No big deal, I just want to ride. I took the Sprint.
Geoff is on his GS1100E , Andy is on his Yamaha FZ.
So we're having a a grand old time. I tried to remember some of the route numbers, but no go.
Geoff send them to me, ok?
I do remember we were on rte 4 to connect over to 118, Andy's favorite road! No moose in the road this time.
We kept the pace up, well Andy and Geoff did, Ed and I were just enjoying the ride. Couple of "old guys" just riding along.
One thing I did notice, is everyone waved. Maybe it was the Triumphs?
Or was everyone in a good mood? Either way I'll take it.
Ed peeled off at rte 25 just off 118. He had a commitment for the afternoon.
So the 3 of us ripped across rte 118. And ripped is a good word to use.
This road has pretty good pavement and lots of elevation changes
and many. many off camber corners. Great road to just ride.
I've taken my wife on this road and she loves it.
Some nice views.

we stopped for lunch in north woodstock?
Nice place with a deck outside, we could see the bikes without a problem.
Lots of bikes in and out of the parking lot, but also families coming and going for lunch. Nice chicken ceasar salad.
Off we go down some road Andy knew. He later said he "just took a right"
and we got lucky?!?! Nice road, good sweepers.
So we end up at the interchange of a major highway and the backroads.
hmmmmmmm if we jump on here we can be home in an hour or so.
If we back road it, that's about 3 hours.
I told Sharon I'd be home mid afternoon, like 3 or so.
Well it's 3 now! Yikes!
Ok highway time. We jump on and start cruising at "good speed"
when all of a sudden traffic stops. This is amajor highway running north/south. We're stopped. As we crawl along we see the cause.
Some guy has flipped his camper, numerous times into the median strip.
Looks like it blew up. I hope no one was in it or anyone got hurt.
Back up to cruising speed and home a little late.
All told I did about 265 miles. Good therapy!
